How does Cellbase's pricing work?

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Cellbase operates on a transparent commission-based model.

What you pay: Product prices you see on Cellbase include:

  • Supplier's base product price

  • Cellbase marketplace commission

  • Shipping costs (shown separately at checkout)

Commission: Cellbase charges suppliers a small percentage commission on each sale. This commission is included in displayed prices, so you never pay additional fees beyond the listed product price and shipping.

Shipping costs: Shipping is charged at cost with no markup. We pass through the exact rates from suppliers' chosen carriers. Costs vary based on:

  • Package size and weight

  • Delivery location

  • Shipping speed selected

  • Special handling (e.g., cold chain for cell lines)

Volume discounts: Many suppliers offer volume discounts. Use the "Request Quote" link for this:

No hidden fees: The total shown at checkout is what you pay. No additional processing fees, handling charges, or surprise costs.
